Your lead magnet is the entry point to your sales funnel and automation… you literally can’t run automation until someone has opted in, so it’s super important to have an effective giveaway to entice your website visitors to subscribe.
It’s not enough just to know the elements of an effective lead magnet… it’s time to take that knowledge and actually create a freebie our audience will love.

For the purposes of this post and tutorial, and to avoid getting hung up deciding between the many lead magnet ideas you might have let’s agree to create something simple yet super helpful – a checklist.
Since I want this to be something I can actually use in my business, I’m going to create a checklist of my favorite marketing tools.
Yours can be whatever you like – ways to alleviate back pain, reasons to drink filtered water, ways to increase your social media reach, tools to make professional looking videos – whatever. Just pick a horse and ride it.
Write Your Headline

Create Your Lead Magnet
Now it’s time to create the lead magnet itself. In the interest of getting this done quickly, I’m using a lead magnet software (PDF creator) called Beacon (which is free).
If you’re doing a checklist this can literally take you 15 to 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can compile some of your best blog posts using their WordPress plugin and have your book done in 2 minutes… totally up to you!
